The suit brought by the stars in the 1968 Romeo and Juliet hit film has been tossed out by a judge in LA. Paramount Films had been sued on the basis that the adolescent stars, Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussey, had not agreed to be filmed nude in one of the final scenes. Makeup was used rather than flesh colored panty hose.

Now, more than half a century later, the 7Oish old actors were seeking $500 million in damages for alleged child porn offenses. Apparently they were told by the famed director, Franco Zeffereli, at the time that their nudity was essential to making the film and therefore their future careers a success.  The film did succeed spectacularly but their future careers apparently did not.

Hence the $500 million suit. Or so it seems. It didn't work out how they hoped. I guess the judge, a woman btw, saw through their allegations as being opportunistic to say the least.
