Deleting Messages from One's Mail/Message Box

I don't know if I am at the correct forum, but I want to delete all of the messages that are currently in my message box or area.  I have surfed everywhere but am at a loss.  ...would appreciate some guidance, por favor.

Click on the box at the top header on the left side of messages. Below you get a dialog box with a trash icon…click on the trash icon.

Each message has a selection box but the little box on top allows you to select everything at once
