How to send a gift ? Is it Appropriate?

I recently had to cancel my trip to LA due to the Noreaster which pummelled NJ after getting over 4' of water in my Finished Basement. I am in the process of rescheduling my trip out there once the cleanup is completed and the contractors start ( about 2 weeks). I had Hired someone for an overnight and let him know via email and phone call, 2 days prior to our scheduled meeting, that I would not be making the trip at this time but would be rescheduling to come out in about 2 weeks and would like to hire hime then, he recieved both messages and said he was OK and did not seem to have a problem with it.

 

My Question is I would like to send him a gift, wine, gift certificate something to let him know I am not a flake , I will reschedule, and as a nice gesture.

What if anything is appropriate?

The harder question, How do I send it to him? I am very discreet and don't like my name out there, I am assuming he is as well but want to respect his privacy.

First off Kudos to you for doing it and that shows a TREMENDOUS amount of class. You're definitely right in thinking this will help prevent him from thinking you're a flake. It definitely would make the difference in me prioritizing someone who has cancelled in the past but is by no means a requirement.

My best recommendation for your privacy as well as his is to have to sent to a FedEx or UPS pick up location. He would have to give you a name that he can verify with an ID but at least this way nobody has to share their home information. You especially will have the option of using a fake name to send the package.

 

As to what you send? Whatever you think is appropriate because chances are he won't be expecting anything. Again, really awesome of you to even consider it Thanks for being one of the good ones.

You know first I think that by you wanting to show your serious is nice, however I think you need to be asking the escort who you canceled on what he would like and I say that because he simply may want a deposit from you for the next appointment to show your serious this time.

 

If the escort does not want a deposit I would suggest a handsome tip for his lost time.

Hey guys thanks for all the feedback and suggestions. I think I am going to just ask him what he prefers, this way he does not get stuck with somthing he cant use.

As to the tip Vincent, I always tip as long as the service is at least average, and there is some effort / emotion shown.
