Which escort sites do you advertise on?

As a consumer, I have my favorite sites for locating escorts. I am interested in the provider perspective on thoughts of regarding the differrent listing sites. Feel free to address some of the questions below or to offer your own advice to the consumer regarding your favorite or least favorite sites.

 

Which escort sites do you advertise on (if any) and why?

What features do you like about that site?

What sites have you used, but no longer use for some reason?

Whip..Very Good Question. The "Working Guys" I know in NYC.. most say "Rentboy" is the only Site bringing in much in the way of Contacts.....

I agree - Rentboy is the only site that I have really gotten any

siginificant response from. There is Men4RentNow.com - but I think

there is something shady going on there. I noticed that a large

percentage of men who contacted me through that site never followed

through ... which in turn made me question the legitimacy of those

contacts. So - no longer with them.

 

Haven't really tried the others - right now I have my hands full

with the men from Rentboy.

 

What about you clients? You guys happy with the sites that are out

there or are you thinking there should be improvements made?

Aside from this site, we have a paid ad on men4rentnow but I'm not too happy with their so-called "customer service" people, who randomly edit ads at their whim (i.e., "dominant" top is allowed, but "take-charge" top is too graphic). Do clients really like that site?

I have had the opposite problem with that site. I have contacted some escorts and not heard back from them. Then used other sites and received a reply to discover they never received my contact request. The advantage for that site to me is it covers some of the smaller cities that I visit that are not listed on rentboy.

This client prefers Rentboy, but M4RN does cover more of the smaller cities. Of course I never seem to be lucky enough to be in the same town as your 'smart ass'. :9

seems like rentboy is heavily used by the northeast and west coast escorts, but in the southwest m4rn has the most ads. I seldom look at rentboy because there are so few ads for Dallas, but m4rn has 135 escorts currently advertising; that doesn't include massages, etc. When I want to see who is traveling through, I am more apt to check rentboy, but unless there are very good reviews here for traveling escorts, I have learned to steer clear of them. On the other hand, locals escorts are more often not reviewed here, even though I have done my best to rectify that. The star ratings in m5rn seem worthless to me, but their new added written reviews might be of assistance to us.

Hey PWIT.

 

I'm not a provider, but I am very close to an escort located in the Midwest. I help him manage his listings, among other things, so I can give you a picture of his situation.

 

First, he's on nearly all the free-to-be-listed sites. Second, the only pay-to-be-listed site he's on is men4rentnow. We've considered listing him on rentboy (there's only one escort in our city listed on that site now), with the thought of attracting attention from clients who travel here from the larger cities where clients are used to using rentboy - we may try that this Summer.

 

That said, here's a rough breakdown of where his client inquiries come from (other than from his Hooboy reviews):

 

men4rentnow 97%

americanmale 1%

male4escort 1%

executivemaleescorts 1%

 

Btw, this pattern has held consistent for well over a year.

My preference, as a client is Rentboy .com because it charges the escort by the month, so it is always current. Whey guys stop escorting, they stop paying and the add disappears. The problem with men4rent now is that not everyone lists a phone number, and the email form does not allow any room for a message. The escort simply gets an email saying there was in inquiry from an address. All too often you get no response. Some guys say "give me a call" but give no phone number. Other than these two, the problem is that add stay on for years and many are simply no longer valid.

I have noticed that just like airline ticket pricing the listings on Rentboy can change from hour to hour. I became aware of this several months ago when looking through their NYC listings. I located one guy's ad only to see it disappear into a black hole when I returned to check it out several hours later. The same thing happened this past week when going through their Chicago listings.

 

So I guess being "always current" is an understatement!

From a client's point of view, as has been noted here, the pay-to-be-listed sites are more current, the gripe about men4rentnow notwithstanding.

 

As for the free-to-be-listed sites, the only ones worth a damn are those that have (a) a regular profile/listing update feature and (b) an email prompt to the escort to do the update, under penalty of delisting or somesuch. If a site says an escort last updated his info 567 days ago, that tells you nothing if the escort hasn't been told to update.

From a visual perspective, Men4RentNow is the most attractive site. You have a user-friendly catalogue with thumbnail pics of the escorts. Easy to scroll through. The ratings are questionable though. It does not have the substance and content of M4M, where details and reviews are reliable.

 

Even though I depend on M4M, still enjoy browsing through Men4RentNow for a perv.

The biggest problem I find with M4RN is that they allow the escort to list several cities. It's not unusual to find a guy listed in NYC, chicago, Ft. Lauderdale, etc. So say I'm looking for a guy in Chicago. Today there are 190 listed. I just cruised through the first three pages and only 9 of the 21 (7 per page) actually had Chicago as their primary city. It's understandable if you're listing yourself in Los Angeles and Long Beach, or Miami and Fort Lauderdale, but I'm not gonna waste my time trying to contact a guy for Chicago when it's third on his list...

tanman4u, I'm glad you asked this question. Some time ago M4RN added a new feature that allows you to search by primary city. Go to http://www.men4rentnow.com/ds/search.asp select City/Region and next to "Search Home City only?" select "yes". You'll have to browse through "only" 111 escorts instead of 190. Hope this helps.

As a client I look at three sites only. M4R and Rentboy to see who is where and this site for the reviews and message center. I have looked at all the rest. American Male is better than it used to be but still for the midwest the selection is minimal but it is cool to see the last contact date to get a feel if the escort is still in business.

 

M4R definitely has more ads and given the cost is much less than Rentboy newer guys will frequent that site more often. But that said the contact routine is terrible for email, too many old ads (no contact info given) and reviews are pointless. If working guys would just use the date feature the multi city feature would work. My assumption is that unless the dates are mentioned with the city or in the ad, the escort is looking for a free ride to that city.

 

The big pluses for rentboy is the ability to write an email giving room to describe and ask questions. Second I use the likes and what I get into (STATS) to determine whether I may be interested in pursuing a meeting. Given I usually have to go out of town or transport someone to me when eastern guys come to chicago they will more likely advertise on Rentboy as west coast guys as well.

 

Dont be surprised if a new website comes to play someday that includes all the possitives.
