RE: Time's Up

Scott, in your opinion who should watch the clock? If I understand up front that an escort places importance on it, I have no problem with staying within the agreed times. Can I then expect him to manage the time, or is that up to me?

RE: Time's Up

Ted, love, what answer would you expect from a massage therapist? How about an esthetician you booked for a one-hour facial? Why would an escort's service be treated any differently?

You're paying for a fantasy that often includes sex. It shouldn't be the customer's responsibility to know when reality must re-enter the playing field.

Just know this: if you're hot, handsome, and/or fun to be with, most escorts will be liberal with their time. Who doesn't like to have fun while they work? If you find someone reminding you of the time ten minutes before your time is up, then what can anyone say? Life is rarely fair.

I wouldn't ask the question of a therapist or an esthetician. The difference? Well, with an escort, I'm more interested in the journey than the destination. That can take many paths with varying timelines. With a therapist or esthetician, I'm only interested in the destination. He can get me there anyway he wants.

Oh, I know that! Hell, if I were hot and handsome, I might be selling rather than buying.:-)

"I'm more interested in the journey than the destination"

Nicely said, which explains why the customer should NEVER have to pay attention to the clock if he's: (1) in the throes of a blissful fantasy or, (2) if he's in the hands of an expert male companion.

ps I've had many a surprise journey with several massage therapists through the years. I find it's always best to keep an open mind. You just never know what lovely surprises life will throw your way at any given moment.

I also had a fun male facialist when I was younger who used to love giving me head while I had cucumber slices on my eyes and a stiffening mask on my face. Like I said, there's journey to be found most everywhere. You just have to be open to letting it happen. All puns intended.

In my opinion this topic is 1 of the few sticky issues in escorting that is not enjoyable 4 either party to discuss. I believe it should B up to me - "the professional" as you put it - to not only direct the session (particularly w/ inexperienced novices who R more concerned w/ trying 2 calm their nerves, etc.), but also 2 not B a total clockwatcher. I always try 2 err on the side of "What is 5 extra minutes to me?" This question will B met w/ hostility by moneygrubbers, but 2 my mind... 5 extra minutes often merits me a LOT of repeat, good-quality "biz". It is ALWAYS better 2 leave someone w/ more instead of less. That way there is no resentment or bitterness & the escort has a clear conscience that they they have fulfilled their "duties" & acted honourably towards someone(s) who often do NOT have tons of disposible extra income floating around. Anyone in this profession worth their salt has a fairly strong internal clock & should not B emailing 2 bitch, complain, or whine. This is simply not professional. After all, if it's such a problem... Wear a watch!! Just make sure 2 discreetly reference it when the person is going down on U & NOT when they R staring into your eyes. Peace out Boys! In The Name of LOVE, Justin :9

RE: Justin Wakefield's post

I could have done without the 2's and the B's but I have to say Justin's response is one of the brightest on this thread.

Many, many years ago, a wise old woman told me you get what you give in life. Generous people are ALWAYS more fun.

Frankly, Anton, it's not that difficult for me, even though English is not my first language and not even my second language. I read '1' as 'one' and not as 'un'. I just make the switch.

Justin's writing style brought some memories from my pre-college age. :)

RE: Time's Up!

Anton, Steven,

Thanks for this exchange! It underscores the importance of clear communication. (A common theme around here!)

I've spent enough time as a copy editor that when I see someone use 2 (or even spelling it out) I immediately wonder whether they meant "too", "two", or "to". So even with English as a first language, the ambiguity exists. It's not blatant, 2 ;-) be sure, but it is there.
