Police departments and Republican leaders in California are pinning blame for a rise in overt prostitution on a new law that went into effect on January 1.  Senate Bill 357 repealed a previous law that banned loitering with the intent to engage in prostitution.

Perhaps this will lead to a revival of the street scene on LA’s Santa Monica Boulevard and elsewhere.  One can only hope!

There is no new activity.  It is tragic what happened on SM Blvd.  

Even on the streets folks have their faces buried n their phones! Hopefully one day things will change but even in bars the iPhone rules....
