My neighbor told me that he uses Clorox on the bathroom and kitchen floors (tile) while using Pine Sol on the rest of floors (wood). But he uses the same sponge mop for both the Clorox and the Pine Sol. I know the chemicals are diluted, but…is it a good idea to use the same mop for both?

The fatal combination is ammonia and chlorine bleach.  If the Pine Sol has ammonia in it, he may be exposing himself to toxic fumes.   My cleaner cleans our wood floors with Murphy's oil soap.
