She also had a prominant role in Star Trek Deep Space Nine towards the end of the series.  Apparently one of those characters the viewers loved to hate. It is all over my Twitter today. Those roles can be hard to master, but it seems she did so.

Oddly, none of the articles I read mentioned her sister Jessica, a mystery writer who solved murders in Cabot Cove.

Her obituary mentioned a sister named  Roberta.

I really enjoyed her as the manipulative religious leader Kai Winn on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Still my favorite of the series. She had that perfect mix of righteousness, ambition and narcissism. Great antagonist only able to be fully realized by Fletcher's amazing performance.
