Seems like an attempt to explain away his Rentmen profile as "I was just using it for my art".

In spite of the profile description, he lists escorting, bodywork, erotic massage and boyfriend experience in his offerings so clearly there's time available to enjoy his other skills after the paint party is done.

Although his "art" is probably better than most could do...it's not good. There's a little technical skill, but I didn't see one piece in his online portfolio that has a drop of artistic merit. Apparently, a failed architecture student as per his bio, he is now realizing he needs a day job.

I admire his creativity and willingness to be his own man.

Don't we all ?

But eventually reality takes over and no one buys your mediocre "art"...so commerce drives you to another profession that pays the rent while you pursue your passion

I was at work all day and didn't have a chance to speak with him further about the experience - but he said that he would be glad to do so.

He did say it would be incall, in an art studio-like ambiance.  The client is invited to get naked and assume a pose on a couch or on any piece of furniture.  He draws your portrait while being naked himself.  There is a level of intimacy in this situation, almost fetish-like, that I have not seen being offered by any other escort in my 20 year 'career' hiring in NYC.

I will be in touch with him this evening.

Having grown up in Europe in the 1970s, I have a fondness for French culture and for French men.

Here is the gist of it:

- you visit him and pose naked, for one hour

- he will be naked and make up to 3 drawings of you

- you pay $150 to pose

- you may purchase drawings for $100 each

- if there is a mutual attraction, he may offer additional services, at rates to be negotiated during the session

The business model is indeed original.

I did respond by saying that I was more interested in 'additional services'.  He then said to send him a picture.  I did send a picture of a 50-year old gentleman (not me), in an impeccable suit having breakfast at the Palm Court, Plaza Hotel.

The response - let's stick to posing/drawing.

Does he even know what it means to put up a profile on Rentmen?
