I'm a student who's somewhat into the leather scene (although my gear is sorely limited right now), and I'm considering going into escorting.

However, being of the bearish temperament (i.e. big and hairy), I was wondering if there's a market in Philly for my type of build.

And response from escorts would be most appreciated (and clients are welcome to reply, also).

Cute joke, Rick, but not a really helpful reply, now, was it?

The leather community has a greater appreciation for bears than any other sub community of gay culture. I think that you should go for it. It always feels better later to regret things you did than things you didn't do. Do develop for yourself your own home dungeon as quickly as possible. And it is good to mention in your advertising that you are good with beginners. They will probably be slightly more than half of your clients. And be prepared to be a teacher as much as anything else, particuarly about "safe words." Good luck, and if you want to correspond privately with me, come on! Sorry I'm in Houston, no Philadelphia, and can't offer local advice. But even more willing to help with general advice since we won't be directly competeing. }(

Thank you kindly. However, I don't know that I want to invite clients into my home (as I live with a roommate who would probably be a bit sketchy about clients coming here).

What options might I have for other dungeon settings? Is the dungeon-in-a-bag option viable?

Viable, but it won't have the emotional impact on your client that having your own home dungeon would. Won't "give 'em the old Razzle-Dazzle" quite as effectively. So I would advise you make long range plans to change the situation when you can. I have been without a home dungeon for a while due to space constraints and am very glad to be back in a position where my massage multipurpose room is large enough to convert to a dungeon on occaision. I hope to start the painting, etc. on it next month.
