ASK FOR A PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION???!!! now that is unprofessional, in my books, unless there is a specific reason. (i.e. due to my discretion in my job locally, I generally tend not to do local clients, but will only get those guys who are visiting town...so if they are locals I meet on line, I may ask for their photo, but always with the caveat of why I am doing this, just so they do not feel like I am judging them.

 

Otherwise, I don't feel the escort has any business being IN this business if he is to ask that question.

I usually ask for a pic... and haven't really had anyone tell me that because they are paying me I shouldn't care. Usually my clients want me to be turned on too so they would like me to know what they look like anyway. Compatability with an escort means a lot... at least in my experience with the biz. :-)

I, too, always include my stats, something about myself, and what I'm looking for sexually (or otherwise) ;-) in my first email contact with an escort. I don't like last minute surprises, and I'm sure escorts don't either. :+ As for pics, forget it. IMHO, any escort who asks for a pic displays an attitude that I don't have the time (or $$) for. x(

i am an african-american. i only call african-american or latin hustlers. i have had a couple of these guys ask MY race. one guy hung up when i said i was black. when it happened with a second guy i had to ask why he was asking. he never said. we agreed that it would not work. again, this has happened but twice but i would like to hear from a black or latin escort. why would a hustler want to know if the client is black or any other race?

I have found that if I want things to clike with an escort I need to be truthful and open to what I am and what I am looking for. I dont mind telling what I look like and when meeting in a public place and tell them what I will be wearing.

 

If a escort ask for a pic of me up front I asume they are not wanting to be with me, because a few escorts have ask for pic, I send them one and then I never hear from them again. I am not ugly but I am on the big side. I am always told how nice I am but if someone ask for a pic now I just end things and move on to someone else.

What's the harm in giving your escort a description of yourself? I would certainly not arrange a date with an escort if I did not know what they looked like. And, would it not be better for the escort to "reject" a client because of some "physical" reason or prejudice before you meet? I'm coming to NYC in January and have arranged dates with two very hot young men. I've emailed them several times. One asked for a description of myself and I complied. The second one who I just arranged a date I gave a description of myself w/o his asking. I don't want any problems with the date - I'm over 50 and out-of-shape and if any of that is a problem, fine, I'll find someone else.

I think I would rather let the escort know my stats , and if the odd chance i was a complete turn off for him, he could decline meeting RATHER than having me spend the time, $$$$ and having a lousy experience and seeing the escort not being able to get hard/look bored etc. That would be a proverbial slap in the face.

 

I think if you were a scort you would, especially these days, want to know or get an idea of whom you are going to meet.

 

Too many johns expect to be treated like a g-d for a few dollars and thats not only unrealistic its nuts. These guys can choose who they wanna screw, (just like you do) if someone is so grotesque I suggest they work on themselves for a while instead of their bank accounts.

I agree with you in one way....but also feel that the other guy has to have some idea of who he's going to see. Who knows, when he arrives, he may decide that he doesn't want to spend an hour with someone who he finds physically unattractive or offensive in some way. Then, I would hope, he would say that he's sorry and not even ask for his fee. I've not had a great amount of experience with escorts, but I've enjoyed their company on about 8 or 9 occasions across the country. I have only felt that the other guy was "going thru the motions" once, and I must admit I didn't think much of him either! So.....I think a description of a potential client is not unusual; in fact, I think it is a good idea.

Um.. I think there are some escorts who don't want to see black clients (or people of color at all). It doesn't surprise me that some of them are black or latin given the racism that's spread throughout the gay community. Some black or latin men may believe the hype.. thinking other black men are poor, uneducated, disease ridden, inferior.. although.. most of the racism I have encountered has been from white gay men..

 

If I'm not mistaken, if you only see escorts who are black or latin, isn't that technically the same behaviour???

 

It could also have been something as innocuous as they were looking for an excuse to not see anyone at that time..

 

ignore it and find someone who wwants to see you.. escort or otherwise.

I do not mind when I am asked my description. This is for the escort's protection and to know what to expect. I make a point when booking an escort to describe myself to make sure he is ok with my description and therefor we are more likely to have a great time.
