I am an escort in an outlying, smaller city considering moving to Chicago because in my current situation it is difficult to keep my work discreet. I am 24, very responsible and successful. I would prefer a location near Boys Town. Email serious replies. Thanks, Mauricio

Mauricio,

Are you reviewed here? Just curious. I did not see you.

Thanks

No, I do not believe that I am, yet. I wasn't even aware of this site until recently. Mauricio

Presumably half of the rent and other expsense - that's what a non emotionally involved roomie usually pays!

"Naive"...I don't think so! But I am professional and responsible and looking for a roommate so I can save on living expenses. Anyone seriously interested, please email with rent cost, date of availability and location. Thanks, guys.

Have you tried the classifieds in The Chicago Reader?

http://www.chicagoreader.com/

Forget the Tribune or the Sun Times. When it comes to housing, most of the city goes to the Reader. And the smart ones check the online ads every Wednesday. By the time the print version hits the streets, the best places are taken.

You could also try a classified ad in Gay Chicago Magazine (http://www.gaychicagomag.com). Most of their ads are not online, but they do have a large "for rent" and roommate section. They'll send you the magazine if you write to them. (I think.)

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll check them out.

I would suggest with another escort. That way the work issue will not be such an problem. Someone your age, but not an escort, may seem cool with it, but it could get in the way of his/her normal lifestyle.

Don't do a roommate thing with a client, even if you agree to rates and that you are not a live-in sex resource. I know one escort that moved into a roommate setting with a client. The rent was set, and the rules were too. The rent was way below market rates, and it was agreed no sex, no favors, no discounts.

The escort paid the rent as agreed, but the client forgot about the rules. Not good when you have to lock your bedroom door.
