I actually do enjoy getting pictures from potential clients if they volunteer. Although the anticipation for an unknown client can actually be adventurous and exciting, it really gets me hot planning my time with the client while fantasizing through the image of his picture.

I agree with David. By no means is a photo necessary, but having one, or at least a physical description to place in the pre-encounter fantasy is often helpful.

 

I'm guessing many escorts, like myself, will psyche ourselves up (i.e. get hot and bothered) on the way to a gig by fantasizing about walking into some horny strangers hotel room, at his urgent request, undressing for him as he strokes himself in anxious arousal, and proceeding to titilate, felate, and copulate with such fevered abandon that the client is left a sputtering, lustrated mass of spent sexual thrills by the time I walk out the door. It's nice to be able to add some form and features to the fantasy. Even if the form is admittedly heavyset, or bald, or five feet tall. I've been with enough body types at this point that I can get anyone off, and have a blast doing it.

 

Surprises are great if Brad Pitt or whoever opens the door, but honestly, if Danny Devito is going to greet me in a Speedo, there won't be any disappointment on my part if I know up front what to expect. That way I can add my best short bald chubby guy moves to my pre-gig fantasy and show the client a great time. (I'm obligated to say here that no matter what - the client has a great time.)

 

Personally, I also find a voice helpful, as well. I like a little chat on the phone before meeting. Sex talk is even better. All this helps improve the encounter for me. Puts me at ease. Gets me excited. I'm not saying that I need a photo or physical description to have a good time, just that it's sometimes helpful.

I rather not see any photos, one of the things that gets me off, is knowing that I am in a new situation. I don't know exactly what to expect. Its an element that I like.

 

Also in our world we tend to make judgements about people on appearances, I rather wait and get to know the "entire package" . Some of my favorite clients are no where close to a gym body, and I don't care. They are wonderful and I have a great time with them!

I see the question of escorts asking for pics of potential clients has come up again in the email HooBoy published today. HooBoy once again confirms his belief that it's unprofessional for escorts to ask for pictures. I don't disagree at all. However, I was just wondering why it was never mentioned that the Escort of the Year, Matt from Vancouver, asks for pictures of people he might be seeing as well. At least he did. When he first came to this escort site he made it quite clear that while a picture was not required he would like one. This first came up when clients and escorts used to get together informally in the chat section of the site. I guess that doesn't happen much any more but it did at one time. In any event, I never sent him a picture because I had no interest in seeing him. Yet, this practice of his has not been mentioned during this discussion. Maybe he has changed his policy, but I'm sure he will confirm that he did this regularly at one time.

Hoo Boy posted an email I sent to him on this issue because it comes up all the time among my escort friends here in LA. I won't repeat what I said suffice to say ASKING for one is unprofessional but descriptions, desires, wants, needs, etc. from the client to the escort are EXCEEDINGLY helpful.

 

As for some of the other comments raised, a professional should be able to provide good service without having either an element of surprise or looking for something to like in a client (not that I am questioning these motivations). For myself, I take a measure of pride in the fact that while I have a prescription for Viagra, I only just filled it yesterday and have never required the use of something like that to perform to my clients satisfaction.

 

If I didn't think I could provide satisfactory services to a client, I would advise him in advance so as to not waste his time or mine. I have never had to do this, but I probably refer clients to other escorts and "lose" more business than anyone else I personally know. Again, this has to be about mutual respect, not just that these young men would not spend time with you without the element of commerce. Looks, physical appeal and libido are not the prerequisites to being a good companion or escort. They help, but they alone do not make one accomplished at the tasks at hand.
