This is pretty fascinating. I lived in Chicago in 1990 and remember Dahmer's killing sprees in Chicago and Milwaukee. I never heard he was suspected of committing crimes in LA.

I know someone in Chicago who claims to have tried to pick Dahmer up at a bar.  He was unsuccessful.  I guess he got lucky!

A transgender convicted killer has confessed to the 1990 murder of gay porn star Billy London after a tip from an amateur internet sleuth — but Los Angeles County’s woke District Attorney George Gascón has refused to file charges in the case that has haunted Hollywood for three decades.

Madden, a former skinhead, now identifies as a Jewish woman, the publication noted.  you can't make this stuff up!

LAPD Det. John Lamberti said the break in the case came following a tip from stay-at-home dad and amateur sleuth.

Newton was a gay porn star in Los Angeles at the time of his murder.

I'm definitely no fan of Gascón's (I signed a petition for his recall), but what's the point in prosecuting someone who's already serving a life sentence?
