I don’t understand this turn around from the city, I remember clearly a couple of years ago that the city (or was it NYPD?) announced that they were going to stop prosecuting spas for happy ending and reprioritise police and judicial resources to more important matters. 

The mayor is due for reelection next year, and, since he doesn’t know how to deal with real problems, he tries to deal with fake ones?

I really don’t love Energy Mens spa. It’s dark, dingy, and has an odd smell. 

In fact, I have avoided it for about 5/6 years, last time being when it was called something else. That was until last month when I decided to check out Alven based on suggestions. Experience was great first time, so I but the bullet and went back again today. 
 

Not only did they push me back 30 minutes when I called to make the appointment, after agreeing to one time.  When I got there, they told me I had to come back at 4 PM- pushing me back another 30 minutes. 
 

Normally I can be patient and figure out something to do, but today was raining, I’d already shifted things around to make the first 30 minute delay work and I had other things to do. So to be pushed another 30, after spending (rain surge) money on an uber to get there on time, I was super aggro about it all. And the worst part is that they didn’t care. Like at least call and say “we need another 30” so I don’t feel the need to rush to be on time. Essentially just a shrug.

Ended up with Charlie- decent massage and extras BUT tip negotiations started right at the point of the flip over. So overall - I remembered why I avoid it. Super bummer of an experience- especially when I had something specific in mind.

This is terrible!  You were very generous to come back at all.  I'm pretty flexible, but if they asked me to leave and come back in half an hour, I would be someplace else instead in a half an hour.  Thanks for sharing this!

I didn’t leave. I just ended up with a provider than I hadn’t anticipated. He was super cute so I gave it a shot. It’s the tip negotiations that really “rubbed” me the wrong way.

Energy is going to “energy”. I continue to give them shots too because of proximity to the E line and it was one of my earlier spa experiences (when it was named something else). But just when you start to trust Energy, an experience like this happens.

totally agree on the reminder to be careful about what info is posted publicly though. 

While I believe entirely that sex work should be legal, it currently isn’t. They don’t go after the hundreds of other places because they don’t aggressively market happy endings. Yes, we know they can be had, but when you get so brazen as a business owner to market them, you’re going to draw attention.

Been there 4 times. Twice with the same masseur. Massage was decent, never got sensual or HE. Gave it several chances coz it’s close to my apartment, and the place is very clean. I dont plan to come back any time soon.
