Congrats to the space shuttle crew that just landed at Edwards AFB.

 

The sonic boom as they went over was AWESOME!

 

I didn't know that's what it was at the time, so that wasn't so awesome. I was standing in my living room tying to decide whether to sit on the patio or the sofa to read the book I was reading and suddenly BA-BOOM! The whole house shook, briefly.

 

I was looking out the patio door and could see the neighbor's patio door vibrating like a low note.

 

Both cats jumped 3 feet in the air from a dead sleep, did full aerial 360's, and landed all puffed up and in battle position.

 

COOL!

There is no sound like the twin sonic booms of the shuttle retunring from a mission.
