The video didn't provide any references to actual data, but if what he says is true, that's exciting to hear. Professional guidelines still provide data which show a much larger percentage of radiation therapy patients getting devastating rectal damage than surgery patients (very rare with surgery patients). After looking at this video I saw that a recent study (2020) seems to confirm his statement: https://www.practicalradonc.org/article/S1879-8500(20)30004-7/fulltext I doubt that this means there's one procedure that's best for everyone, but the spacer does provide significant bladder protection according to that study.
