How to dispose of VHS Porn tapes?

I have hundreds of VHS porn tapes that I want to get rid of.  That's on top of my porn DVD's.

I would like to dispose of them in a safe and green manner if possible.  I did a quick look through this forum for prior discussions.  Many discussed transferring to DVD's.  I have no interest in doing that.

There used be places in SF that would take them; but I believe they don't exist any more.  Also, I imagine that during the pandemic, places like that would not be able to receive anything.

That leaves me with recycling the paper boxes and plastic and sending the tapes to land fill.

I'm open to any other practical solutions.

A pet shelter will probably not accept them because the tape is toxic and will harm a cat if it is chewed on or ingested. However, a company called GreenDisk can handle them for you.
