A Chaotic Night in Baseball

Last night gunshots outside of the Nationals' park in Washington caused chaos as people tried to flee to safety. The game itself was terminated.

In Yankee Stadium they played in heavy rain. A left fielder for Boston was hit with a baseball from a fan, and he then engaged the fans in biter argument. The team left the field until the fan was ejected. I've never seen a game played in such bad rain. The wet conditions caused the Boston pitcher and players to play badly, allowing the Yankees to come from a very lackluster performance to win the game.

Yesterday was a crazy day indeed. Tons of rain delays, postponements, suspensions. Also the Mets had a 6-0 lead going into the eight before losing on a walk off grand slam to the Pirates. I'm so sick of the Pirates lol. Final game of 7 in a row against them today.

In other news the inept Cardinals keep beating the powerful Giants

In San Francisco and now in St Louis.  The Cardinals are honoring the team's new Hall of Fame selection Ted Simmons with a statue outside Busch Stadium

How crazy for the Mets then yesterday a day after blowing a 6-0 lead to overcome a 6-0 deficit. 3rd time in MLB history two teams traded a 6 run comeback in back to back games.
