AOL chat Rooms

I joined AOL only because I kept seeing that mentioned as a place to meet escorts. I have not found any particular chatroom to meet escorts and have been unable here in Los Angeles to search on escorts. It keeps telling me to narrow my search. Any tips about which chatrooms to look for and what to search on?

To narrow your search try using "west hollywood" or a specific item you are looking for. Such as muscular, smooth, boyish, etc. Just my opinion, but the best of them don't "hang-out" in the chatrooms as they are too busy. I do a search and then send email. Just a thought.

Click on "People" then "Find a Chat" and then the "Created by AOL members" Tab. In Town Square you will find literally hundreds of chat rooms such as LAM4Mm(usually a 1, 2 and maybe even a 3), EscortM4M, BiM4M etc. I agree that's not the best place to find a good escort, but every once and a while you can get lucky.

That's the problem...there are 100's of chatrooms, and AOL won't allow a wildcard search like *M4MEscort*.

 

And then when you do find a M4MEscort chatroom, all 23 slots are filled with people who aren't chatting.

 

I don't know how anyone finds an escort on AOL. (But I guess someone must or the reviews citing AOL as a source wouldn't keep cropping up.)

You can also find escorts on AOL by going to "People" then "search member profiles" then type in "male escort california". Strangely if you type in Los Angeles, it will tell you it is too broad, but you can do Hollywood etc. You can also search bodybuild, blond, etc.

No, AOL chat rooms are for AOL members only.

 

Finding a chat room where escorts hang out is very easy. Just click on "People," then "Find a Chat," then "Created by AOL Members." There are always several EscortM4M chat rooms, and if you want to know where a particular escort is located just look up his AOL profile. There are always M4M chat rooms for major cities like Los Angeles, and one or more of the people chatting in those rooms are usually escorts looking for clients. If you want to know which is which, again, look up the AOL profile of any particular person in the room. You don't need to enter the room in order to chat with any particular person there, you can establish a private chat with him by sending him an IM.

Sometimes it seems like AOL is a challenging place to meet escorts. The advice given to you so far is good, particularly hanging around in the M4M rooms, there are LosAngelesM4M, InlandEmpireM4M, Orange County, SanGabrielValley, etc. for various sub-regions around L.A. area.

 

Here's another idea that worked GREAT for me. I setup a second screen name to use when "hunting". Make it a very suggestive screen name, like "Want2Hire" or "GenerousMan" etc. In your profile for that suggestive screen name, put in stuff like "I enjoy entertaining younger (18+) men", "very generou$ nice guy here", "helpful to students" etc. Be honest about your personal stats.

 

Now, get yourself into some chat room, *any* chat room in the Los Angeles area and just be patient. The instant messages and later on e-mails will begin to arrive. Use your best screening skills, insist on talking to them on the phone before a meet, and enjoy. After about 90 days on AOL, I had over 25 potentials in my buddy list, and would just go online, wait for someone to show up online from the buddy list (or they would already be there) and start chatting/negotiating.

 

I met a few flakes, and a lot of really nice, student types, non-hustler types, just regular guys. Above all be honest in your profile, and be honest talking to these guys and you'll do fine.

P.S. It helps to go ahead and instant message other guys who appear to be on the "hunt". I had a couple buddies and we would compare notes, guys, etc. - it was a big help.

Whomever said that there was no way to string search chatrooms was sorely mistaken. load all the rooms up under "created by aol members" and then do a control-F. This will search all the rooms for any string. (you may hv to click on any one of the rooms and then hit FIND.) "M4M" is good. "esc" will get you the escort rooms, tho for some very unknown reason there is none usually dedicated for LA, unlike NYC. Hey, create one and see what happens! LAescortsM4M!
