I've scheduled time with him twice since he has been living in Dallas and met him once prior to that in Chicago.  

He is a friendly and approachable big jock / muscle / military guy who is punctual and an effective communicator.  Tell him what you want to do and he'll give you an answer.  Most of my "wants" are mundane, so I haven't had him say "no" to any of my requests, but I'm sure he has some boundaries.  

Having enjoyed my time with him during each of our visits, I'm confident I'll be scheduling him again.  YMMV.

Within the past few years i have communicated with him about meeting up when he was visiting my city and he's always been pretty good maintaining consistent polite and professional responsiveness. 

We were scheduled to meet one evening sometime within a larger timeframe window and the night of agreed "we would figure out exact specifics".

We ended up not meeting as his prior client engagement went long. So i could technically count it as a "last mintute cancellation".

However he was keeping me informed of what was happening in real time and it appeared totally genuine that he and the client had originally scheduled for a much shorter period of time but in the moment it turned into an overnight.

Bottom line when he is back in my city I would feel comfortable trying to meet up again.
