I just got asked about this on Grindr I think it sounds sketchy. Seems like it's phishing or malware posing as some sort of adult verification

And when I mentioned it sounded like a phishing attempt the other person blocked me. So yeah stay clear.  If they're that worried they can meet in a public place.
