From a tech article in the Detroit Free Press. Click on the mouse wheel button as a shortcut for "Open Link in New Tab". I use that a lot when browsing the forums, still trying to train my brain to use it :)

 

Years ago a co-worker showed me that pressing the windows-leftarrow buttons simultaneously resized your current window to take up the left half of the screen. Ditto for right-arrow.
