Here is the choice:

A. Possibly die from volcanic eruption.

B. Possibly die from untested gene therapy vaccine, or actual J&J vaccine (now in pause due to resulting deaths)

Seems like duress: get the vaccine or risk being a victim of a natural disaster. Option A maybe safer.

Full of factually incorrect info, as usual, from anti-vaxxers. The authorized vaccines have, of course, been fully tested (plus proven safe and effective in hundreds of millions of other doses). Not a single person has died from the J&J vaccine. Like with A-Z, some blood clots have been found, but so far no evidence that the rate of clots is greater than in the general public. I heard on CBS radio today that the rate was 1 in a million for the vaccine, but is 5 in a million for unvaccinated. Even if it were true, which it isn't, that the vaccine caused an excess of 1 in a million blood clots, the risk/benefit ratio is pretty clear when comparing a risk of 1 in a million to get a (non-fatal) blood clot versus a disease that carries a 1 in 200 chance of death and a 1 in 50 chance of needing to go to the hospital, with permanent organ damage.

I wonder whether the Prime Minister has contacted his counterpart in one of the neighboring islands and asked if they would grant a humanitarian waiver of the vaccine requirement. It isn't like these people are taking a pleasure cruise.
