A new BBC production showing three one-hour episodes last Tuesday thru next Tuesday (in my area). Compelling and tense. Can't help but wonder if the producers were spurred to make it based on the recent four years here in the US.

For those who are watching, have you noticed the melodramatic music sometimes frustratingly drowns out the commentary??

Watched the third/final episode last night, which concludes with Hitler's power consolidation after Hindenburg's death. The melodramatic music still overpowered some of the narration. Actors were used to recreate most of the events, which is ok, but the entire production seemed terse and rushed. The mood of the country seemed entirely ignored.

Anybody else watch it? Opinions?
