So Mark as I had mentioned the many websites with polls were wrong and you should not believe them. David vs David is on.

They are as different as night and day. I make no prediction at this point, it will come down to their performances. I am hopeful they will not reprise one of their performances from earlier in the year. Only once has that really worked, Kat singing Over the Rainbow. I think it would be a mistake for David A to try Imagine again. I dont think he can top perfection and one slip and Simon says not as good as the first time and its the first crack. If they need to do one try one that just missed and rework it to make it come out more original. What would be fun is to have them redo their audition songs on the big stage, they could play that first then now nearly 9 months later how they have grown.

Idol ratings are down although voting is ahead on pace with other years. Look for a bit of retooling and maybe a bit less idol. Thank god result shows will only be 1/2 hour and less Ryan "The Shocking results are"

Maybe even a few other minor changes. How about Paula actually making a decision and telling Syesha "I dont think that is good enough to put you in the finals" That is a first!

And I think a better term would be ass lick as opposed to asswipe. More in tune with what we all really want around here.

It is Monday and I look forward to tomorrow's "Battle of the Davids!"

As there is an existing thread on the predicted outcome...i am posting a query. Who do you predict to win the American Idol Finals?

:-) :-) :-) :-)

I will predict that based on the fan base of the Davids, the two boys are about even in voting support possibilities. They are an even match in fan base support ( did u see their supporter /fans back home? Not to mention the two states who claim them have something at stake -- grassroots voting, anyone?, likeability, genre expectation, taste and preferences of A I viewers and the most important swing judges are divided evenly ( Paula ?) between the two of them.

They have managed to divide every sector of the watching population into an A market or C market :) into an almost identical percentage, if polls and prognosticators will be believed. Both Davids will be a success in his own right...much like having Clay Aikens in two.

I will campaign for David A to win...I will vote as many times as I can ...thanks for my redial phone functions and the three lines I have. And of course, I can also use my AT & T cell phone,I used to use to vote for Jason Castro, to text! ! :)

I do not dislike David C, but I want David A to be the new American Idol! Don' task me why! I just want him to be! :)No particular rhyme or reason.

So based on what I will do -- I predict that David A will win! :)If I lose, I promise to buy the first CD of David C and make it part of my collection; together with the CDs of David A of course and dont forget Jason Castro! :)

Lol... I am sure it will, coz every CD bought and not given away as a "freebie promo" counts as an accomplishment!

Now back to the thread, who is your bet? :)

Indeed, David A Knocked David Cook Out in last nights American Idol finals. He should win!:)

But, I think David C has a chance to win the swings votes. :) He showed a moment or two of vulnerability that no one expected from him-- he cried albeit a controlled guy cry...no sobs, just a welling eyes and a matter of chance wiping of the eyes! He has soul! His idea of progression in style and singing the songs no one knows he likes was a fresh breeze into this bartender's ability to create and recreate, fashion and refashion his image! And may I remind everyone, chameleon stars do make a big wave in record sales in the pop chart (see: Clay Aiken Vs The Velvet teddy bear Reuben (?) what was his name?)

:)

From a callers perspective, many polling experts say the phone numbers assigned to Cook were so busy , it was impossible to get in, (meaning many are votiong for Cross) but many say they voted for David C. but then again, the phone lines of David A were not as busy! Well, my take on this is so muchthe better for David A---why? ...The votes that are being casted for David A are getting tru -- and They count registered votes...not attempted votes.

I have to admit, it is too close to call.:) I see no valid statistical inference that I could use as a measuring stick to even say who will win. I say based on performan--David A, but if the underdog-cum-rock image will get the right voting symphatizers-- it will be David C to dial and vote-- !

I did vote many times, texted many times (I was lucky!) for David A! But to avoid any guilt feelings since I do not dislike David C...I also voted 5 times, 2 of which were counted for him!!

Whatever the outcome...these two unlikely mold of American pop stars competitors have their future paved in golden contracts -- I am sure they will handle the fame and fortune differently!

We will see in a few years, wo really was the American Idol!

>Care to tell us what brand you're smokin'?

:-) :-) :-) :-)

I gave up smoking a long time ago. :p I threw the bong in the garbage dump too.:)

Nowadays I smoke...If you want to know -- escort20cm in handsome, cute boxes aged 18-26! :) They do not sell it everywhere. you have to search for it. If you can afford the spiralling prices! :) Thanks for the question!

But going back to the thread --

I watched the finals of American idol, last night and midway to the day, after reading blogs and bulletins ad bets on some weebpages, I had a gut feeling that maybe America Chose David C instead of cute david A! My premonition was correct of course!

I am happy for the David C.He does deserve the title, but I also love David A, who I think will also carve a name for himself in the music world ...in the style of Josh Groban (very much like Clay Aiken, who showed the world that 2nd was not so bad, after all!) :)

Macho nice wrap up. Yahoo has the recording on line and I like the song very much and I think I will join you and go out and buy the song. Have not done that since Josh Grobin's last CD. I tend to be a very boring person in my music.

I enjoyed this finale more than most in the past and the last 15 min of the show is some of the best TV this year.

I love the changes to the final 2 competition. Even though DC won, DA was brilliant in that finale and will get an excellent jump start on his career. I think the producers for DC's album are going to be very careful about what gets recorded and it will be in DC's style and something new for them. Not crap like Taylor Hicks. I hope they allow DC some creative input, the man knows how to arrange and pick music.
