Rushed hope for a vaccine not traditionally tested

We all want this awful virus to go away.

 

An article appeared in the prestigious medical source - Lancet - yesterday discussing a new Russian virus vaccine.

 

According to the article, several routine steps were by-passed before the new virus was claimed to be safe and effective.

 

Read the below sited Lancet article and consider whether you would be a party to taking such a vaccine.

 

The vaccine is not offered to Americans at the present time and likely never will be used in the U.S.

A vaccine will have to be proven safe and effective before I'll take it and recommend it. Of course, there will be pressures by he who will not be named for an "October surprise." Hopefully cooler heads will prevail.

I wouldn't take a vaccine that had not been proven to be safe and effective. This one has the look and feel of propaganda, as would an "October surprise."
