My New York Yankees have continually let me down these last few years, so I am glad to see manager Joe Torre take a hike. I think Joe Girardi will pump some life into them. I previously really liked Alex Rodriguez, but not any more after his interference with the World Series by "opting out" of his contract. I used to wonder why the Yankee players generally didn't like him, and now I think I know. He's a wuss even if he can hit some balls.

 

So I am still going to put out the $159 for the cable add-on called Extra Innings. It gives me 80 baseball games a week, including almost all of the Yankee games. (No, I don't watch 80 games a week, but I do check in on the other teams that are playing well, not to mention checking out the hotter players.)

 

Hopefully, I will find a new A-Rod to root for.
