Movie and TV Actor-probably best known for Enter the Dragon and Nightmare on Elm Street. I think I think I first

took notice of him in a sci-fi film where women had enslaved men called Planet Earth.

 

I had a crush on him!!

Saxon was always playing a cop or a cowboy. But, I remember him from the Mary Tyler Moore Show. He was a brief love interest for Mary.

"Planet Earth" was created by Gene Roddenberry of Star Trek, it never made it beyond the two made-for-TV movies. The first was "Genesis II" and had a different actor playing John Saxon's part.

My generation remembers him as the supporting lead in several horror films.

 

He lent a nice gravitas to the original Nightmare On Elm Street.
