I have been trying to leave space for @wklukas to post in this thread, but since has yet to do so, may I take this moment to lament that the Mets-Yankees Subway Series this weekend is in jeopardy? Coronavirus has hit the Mets, and tonight's game has been postponed. Now I will have to spend more time here than watching the game.

No, I’m giving you wide berth here to do whatever your thing is....aside from tennis & horse racing, pro sports aren’t often my “thing” (college, oui / pro, nyet)

except my own baseball “claim to fame” — Oct 17, 1989....w/my Dad at the ‘stick for game #3.....perfect afternoon until the earthquake hit....no real panic but a lot of confusion.....no real easy way for us to get home to our city house (Pacific Heights) much less the country house in Marin....we get in the car & my Dad drives south to Monterey / Pebble Beach.....we play golf & chill for 3 days until some of the dust settles up north....

more baseball....over the years, lucky enough to have summertime biz trips into Chicago a few times when the Cubs have a home stand.....some nice afternoons at Wrigley taking some time out to smell the roses, errrrr the grass......
