Well, I thought it was likely to be a Republican, and the current OK legislature has only eight R women. So, I looked up their bios and found only three who were listed as teachers.

 

Kern, Sally ®

Coody, Ann ®, and

Wilcoxson, Kathleen ®

 

So, I searched all three and found a number of links that pointed the finger at Kern:

Here's the ultimate insult.

 

The Oklahoman newspaper reported today that Oklahoma State Republicans are refusing to condem Kern for her remarks, according to House Speaker Chris Benge ®.

 

Thousands of emails have flooded into the state mailboxes of lawmakers demanding an apology. Benge says no. "We're not putting a committe together to investigate this".

 

I guess no one should be shocked by this attitude as it is in line with the current Republican homophobia prevelent throughout the country.

 

And the real hoot is........ The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is examining many of the e-mails that were sent to Kern and other lawmakers to see if they broke the law as a number of the e-mails reportedly threatened Kern with death :-)
