I could actually see this translating to adult, whereby talent could essentially crowdfund while giving token owners voting rights to steer potential work projects, exiting the pool of studios and venture off as a solo brand, etc. Exciting stuff!

I read the interview and don't get it. It doesn't seem that different than other people who've branded themselves online. People pay to follow them on various platforms, and frequently those people will make requests. For example, if it's a porn performer a subscriber might ask for a certain kind of video to be made. Or the performer might ask for feedback from the audience generally as to whether they want to see something specific. Isn't this the same thing, albeit with clothes on and high-tech jargon being used?

AND we have to take him on his word that he went on a run and ate only veggies? If this isn't a pretty blatant scam, I don't know what is. Now if he wants easy money, he can hook up with me on seeking arrangements. I won't even nag him about his runs and his diet. Just some shnookums, and a lot of men seem to enjoy it...

Although, on the other hand, I'd gladly pay $100 if it would convince Owen Lindberg to get a decent haircut. With a smoking body like this, I can hardly imagine how good-looking he'd be with some good attention paid to his hair:

I am reminded of that young kid whose family has monetized his reactions to playing with toys. I don't remember their names, but apparently he is one of the highest paid (if not the highest paid) YouTuber. We're talking serious money here, not pocket change. Apparently one year the channel made about $11,000,000! When I first read that some tyke was raking it in by opening toys and playing with him, I decided to watch a couple of his videos. Obviously I'm not the target audience (no longer a kid and not a parent), but I just didn't understand the appeal. Not that the videos were horrible, but I didn't understand why millions of people would regularly want to watch him and his parents.

 

With that as a background, there probably are enough people who are willing to fork over money to some young man so they can tell him to eat broccoli and not hamburger today. I don't get it, but the Kardashian family has enjoyed enormous popularity for many years now and I don't get that, either.

Sounds like a version of "The Truman Show". While a work of fiction, the movie did say that soap opera like show was the most watched show in the world.
