It's the year of the rat and today is New Year's Day. We will be celebrating with a party of 8 (the lucky number for Chinese) at a local Chinese restaurant.

If you can't eat Chinese, then you can lust Chinese:

(Actually I can't say if he's Chinese, but he sure is cute)

In the alternative, you can send a card to VDN, who surely has a treasure trove of cute pix featuring Chinese hunks.

I understand there are more "Fat" rats in NYC than there are people. So, let's party! "Rats gung Wild"..

Cheers my Lucky friend and a "Gung Hay Fat Choi" to you too. If I'm correct, the rat is a symbol of prosperity, so, to show appreciation to our Chinese friends, Wall Street reversed it's downward trend and closed up today. Hope that's a sign of a great year to come.

Best wishes for a happy 4706,

Thanks, Cooper. I could use a little prosperity. Maybe the bf will strike it rich..he's a rat!

Happy New Year to you as well. Have some chop suey on me tonight!*

*(Chop suey is the only "Chinese" food my mom ever made, and even if it's an American concoction, she never knew!)

Cooper Most Definitely... Just asked any of the Yup's who have Invested in 900K AND up CO-OP's along the Bklyn Water Fronts!

Ain't nothing Bigger than an Old Fashioned BKLYN RAT! They're almost as Over-Fed as some of the Mafia WiseGuys who got Busted Thursday! ;-)

The Vietnamese use the mouse, instead of the rat, to symbolize this year. If you visit a local Asian market, the decorations and trinkets for the lunar new year use a mouse, not a rat. Don't blame Disney!
