Annoying habit of posting messages in several Conferences

Some guys seem to want to post the same message in the Lounge as well as the Deli and then is other conferences as well. They may just be trying to make sure everyone catches their message, but is anyone else annoyed by this?

I am and I remove the messages as soon as I catch them, but it's just something else to eat up time better spent doing something more productive for the site.

I have also noticed that some people are now posting identical notes on two or more threads in the same - what do we call it, conference room?

Also a bummer I wish would stop.

I wasn't even suggesting you need to delete them--that would be too much work, but I'm glad you agree. If I was you, though, I would email these guys and explain why it's annoying and no use. You'd only need to do this for the worst cases. Nothing else is worth anybody's time IMHO.

In every single case of my deleting thir duplicate messages, I have never had one person write to ask why, so I figure they are hit and run people. They post a lot, leave and never come back, only wanting their 15 mili-seconds of the spotlight.
