>any recomendation for a fun restaurant in chelsea or the village??

I'd suggest the Food Bar in Chelsea located on 149 Eighth Avenue between 17th and 18th Street. Nice atmosphere and cute guys! :)

Not entirely gay, but gay-friendly is Chelsea Grill on West 23rd St and Ninth Avenue. Moderate to pricey french food.

Also, on 8th Avenue are Viceroy, Spice (Thai), Rocking Horse (Tex/Mex) or Tello (Italian) on 19th St, just off 8th Ave.

On 7th Avenue is Elmo (at 19th St) or Cafeteria (at 17th St), which are extremely popular. Both serve American dishes.

The weekly bar guides, Next and HX have listing for restaurants all over town.

Food Bar is very gay, but I wouldn't call it "fun," which is what the OP was asking for. I would recommend VYNL, which has a few locations and just came to Chelsea @ 8th Ave and 15th St. I like it because (a) the menus are on vintage vinyl record albums, and (b) they have celebrity dolls all over the place (most of which I own, too). Plus, the food is good (it's my favorite brunch.)
