People die all the time. It was his time and yours, mines, Lucky's, Daddies and others time will come soon too. Death is just part of human nature.

I'm not sure what tone accompanies your observation; but in print, the remark seems callous.

Death is inevitable for all, that's true. It's nevertheless sad to see someone leave.

First how many threads does this topic need? This is the third thread on him. One would think that Babs died or something. Sure it sucks when someone dies but I guess I'm done with mourning (sp I'm on thee mobile) when someone dies. I've accepted its human nature one can't fight it no matter what. Sure I miss people who've passed but I can't change things. If that makes me callous then so be it.

Greg

gotta say I'm entirely with seaboy on this one....

of course this was a punch-in-the-stomach shock hearing the news...and especially because we didn't know he was having problems...

you can't say when it's somebody's "time"...you die when you die...obviously, an early death for non-natural reasons is sad and unwelcome....

We all make dumb remarks, it was just seaboy's time! Next it could be your time, or mine, or God forbid, Daddies.

People try to make sense of deaths that shock them or don't fit into a natural pattern and one of the tritest of those ways is to say "It was his time." Well, says who? Was JFK shot because it was "his time?" One can go on and on with senseless deaths where the remark just seems silly, but that won't stop people from looking for easy comfort in a tragic situation.

Why different people feel the need to start a separate thread on a subject already under discussion is another story. I don't know the answer to that one.

Who is Babs?

>Who is Babs?

YIKES Juan! I thought I was the only gayboy who didn't worship the ground Barbra Streisand yodelled on! Nuff said or they'll be revoking my gay card... again.

I too was shocked when I heard the news about Heath Ledger. I actually tried to correct the person telling me thinking that they were just really late on the Brad Renfro news.

As to the earlier comment "Everyone dies It was just his time" It reminded me of that great Jack Lemon quote from Mass Appeal. Something along the lines of "Part of being a priest is saying inane things to the loved ones when someone passes. It helps them feel inconsolable and that's how they should feel" Not an exact quote but you get the idea.

RE: Who is Babs?

I am a little lost...

So the death of Barbra Streisand would be a real cause for grief, but not the death of Heath Ledger? Maybe Greg is not talking about her?

I am not sure I understand... (But again, English is not my first language.)

I personally feel quite shocked. There is so little talent in movies that it feels like a horrible loss when someone who had shown some craft and talent passes away.

May he rest in peace. And may all the press vultures and publicity hungry masses step back and let his family grieve in peace.

It is not a circus; it is a real human being with real a real family.

>Oh Seaboy,

>Didn't momma teach you that.

>Just think of all the potential clients you just turned OFF.

Then so be it. I don't do this to fully support myself since I have a fairly well paid day job and a bf that makes good money also. But thank you for your concern.
