Gays posting nudes on social media

What's wrong with being honest and admitting that one's sexual capital is a big factor in the gay community and has influenced young gay male behavior online? We all obviously participate in it to some extent.

 

People do not get thousands of likes and retweets, features on gay publications, or in the broader culture from just being educated and professionally accomplished. For younger people, many of whom were closeted, they got into gay culture via porn and/or by social media, which values specific body types a big dick/ass, and one's perceived masculinity, among other criterion that informs on ones sexual capital.

 

The access to the internet and social media is factor, but the culture is as well, and sex has long been a big part of it.

 

Edit: To be clear, I don't care if young gays want to post nudes online. I'm just surprised people may not realize where the behavior comes from.

There really are a lot of straight young guys doing the same thing lately. Rugby players in particular tend to show off. Their accounts aren't all ass all the time like a lot of gay guys, but plenty of them are posting naked pics.

exhibitionism? Now the exhibitionists have an outlet that can reach the whole world. Lots and lots of attention seekers. They've lived their whole lives on social media. They've all been photographed a million times already. So things just keep progressing until you get to nudity. Many do have onlyfans or just take cashapp or venmo donations. Some who don't post nudes publicly sell their adult content. A couple of twinks who have pretty big followings on Twitter have sold me their videos and pictures. One asked lots of questions about seeking.com and the whole sugar baby thing. Unfortunately (for me) he has a BF so he wasn't really interested in any sort of sexual relationship - but if I wanted to take him and the BF to dinner he was interested. But that wasn't something I had any interest in.

 

At the moment they're all lonely and depressed and horny. So I think that's led to even more sexual content than there already was. It's funny that Twitter claimed they were going to try and clean up the adult content a while back. That (luckily) turned out to be a pretty dismal failure.

It sure has cut down on my laundry. I find I have no incentive to change outfits that often. Of course I do my daily grooming, but tend to throw on "the same ole thing", and even not care if the top matches the bottom... OY VEY, I've become a homeless person !

I’m still working out, going for long bike rides, etc. one thing I’ve suggested to people is to use white bed linens because you can add Clorox bleach to the laundry to sterilize them.

So there's one acquaintance I follow who occasionally posts naked pics and he's got an identical twin brother....who is a doctor. I wonder how the brother feels about it
