This was a very relevant episode of our PBS station.

We have forgotten our past. Lessons from the past help us cope in the future. Our future is now. The POOR leadership in Washington DC has led us to possible ruin. We need a SOLID leader to guide us. Someone who will speak the truth and help with jobs. We need a major project similar to the 1930's push to hire as many as possible.

Our current leaders are not leaders, the are cheats and liars. POTUS 45 is a drag on our truth. His lies are empty words. He looks only to help himself and his family. Guaranteed his so called minions will turn on him. Let's drive him out! Make the Richard Burrs and Kelly Loefflers who profit on our misery pariahs and dare all who follow them long prison terms.

Now is the time to strike the devils from our government...

Flower of Iowa was a well researched novel set during WWI, that shed light on the horror of that war, and touched on how terrible the Spanish flu. Terrible times.

I take exception to the article focusing on Hoover, since Harding and Coolidge were the true numskulls that set up the US for economic depression. Hoover was a great humanitarian, a humble man, and a world famous engineer. He could just as well never become President, with everything he'd already accomplished. Historians have not been kind, as opposed to a recent scandal ridden President that is still called the great communicator and has an as airport named after him.

Since the Spanish Flu and the Espionage Act were past events, his focus on Hoover baffles me.

Let's pay attention and hope Congress doesn't invent a modern version of the Espionage Act. Sounds like a couple of initiatives are currently in play, including iron handed oversight over digital messaging, such as this forum
