Now I know that maybe not all hotels do this but do you really want to take the chance? Makes me want to run to Wallgreens and get some plastic ones when I am out of town.

Hugs,

I use to manage hotels... One of the reasons (there were many) that I left was because of this. The senior management of the properties didn't want to invest the money to install glass carriers on the bottom of the housekeeping carts, buy more inventory and a additional dishwasher and chemicals.

So if you see a maids cart with a glass rack on the bottom of it, good chance the glasses went through a dishwasher, still not guaranteed.

Now the ice buckets.... if you use them ALWAYS use a plastic liner. People use these for everything, even potty training their kids, dog food/water bowls, ashtrays, etc..

How about the bedspreads... they get washed if ever only about once a month....people sit on them naked, have sex, etc... the room may look clean but imagine CSI going in with their lights...wow.

oh, how about the infestation of bedbugs that we have in this country now... most managers/owners don't even know what to do, they think spraying kills them....wrong. The single owned Indian properties are probably the wrose run, they don't even want to spend money in normal operations.

floridarob… Thanks for the tips.

I have never seen a maids cart with a glass rack... ever… even in classy establishments.

Regarding bedbugs, from what I hear even the most exclusive of properties are not immune to infestation.

Speaking of plastic bags, I always bring plastic bags to line the drawers as I figure that’s where quite a few folks dump their dirty underwear.

As for the bedspreads… having played on a few over the years… I figured as much…

Having never seen a glass rack on a hotel maids cart I assumed that the glasses were changed when they changed the wallpaper and the other furniture in the room.

As for the video; Is the maid using a clean towel to wipe those glasses or one she just picked up off the bathroom floor?

Now we're out of the hotel, on our way home. We catch our flight and settle into our seat. A flight attendant comes by, smiling, she hands us a pillow..

If you knew 1/2 of what went on in restaurant kitchens you would never dine out.

I think one can easily become phobic about all manner of things.

Think about it for a second. You will suck his cock - eat his ass - and you're squeemish about a hotel bedspread, pillow or glass?

Ah, but the question is would you eat just anybody's ass and suck just anyones cock? what about pussy? That puts a different flavor on it... as far as restaurants.... my hotels had those too, I think there are more "stories" than what really happens... but a hotel room, we've all been there and know what we've done.

Zip you do have a point but I think that people expect when they stay in hotels esp the nicer ones things like the glasses will be cleaned properly. I don't think that is too much to ask for at least not when it comes to public health. There are quite a few frequent fliers who remove the comforter and do not use it when they travel which makes sense. If you venture over to flyertalk.com there are some interesting stories. This is one of my favorite thread over there to which I have contributed http://flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=473858&pp=40
