Soulard Art Market - Open Call for Artists for "Arti Gras"

Got this notice from my best gal friend out near St. Louis:

Soulard Art Market and Contemporary Art Gallery - Call for Art for our "Arti Gras" exhibition

Show dates: January 10 - February 6th, 2008

Entry Guidelines:

- Each artist may submit up to 3 original works. We accept most media (Sorry, NO Video or ceiling-suspended artwork).

- Sculpture should be no larger than: Height 6ft and Width: 2ft.

- 2D art must be framed and ready for hanging (no saw tooth hangers please).

- All artwork for consideration MUST be submitted via JPEG/JPG image. File size for each JPEG should not exceed 500kb.

- Entry e-mail must include title/measurements of art along with contact name, email address, home address and phone number.

- Mediums submitted should NOT include video or ceiling-suspended work, and will NOT be accepted.

Send e-mail entry and JPEG/JPG(s) to:

Entry e-mails must be received no later than 7pm, Monday, December 31st, 2007 for consideration. Entry is FREE! Accepted artists are required to submit an operational costs fee of $30. There will be no commission on accepted art. Artists will retain 100% of their sales. Notification of acceptance will be on Thursday, January 3, 2008, via email and followed up with a phone call from the gallery.

Accepted artwork will be received by the gallery on Sunday, January 6, 2008, 12 noon-6pm and Monday January 7, 2008, 12 noon-4pm. Arti Gras runs from Thursday, January 10 - Wednesday, February 6, 2008. A Casual preview of the show opens on Thursday, January 10 and a Formal Reception will be held on Friday, January 11. Both evenings are from 7pm-10pm.
