I've written about this guy before. Says he's Italian. Frequently uses the name Mike. He's got a new m.o., which starts with an invitation to meet him at Christopher Street. He's always looking for an overnight in Far Rockaway. Beware this phone number: xxxxxxx This guy has scammed three other escorts I know and me.

Yup Tom..I remember the Warning on this guy..BUT Unfotunately with over 350 Guys Advertising on Rentboy now, and all the other ADS around NYC...apparently his SCAM must still be working, or he would have Retired by now.

At least the Working Guys who read or talk to guys who read this site, will have a heads up!

Who in there right mind would Travel to Far Rockaway to begin with?

The people living there don't like doing it, at least not during the Winter! LOL

I just checked it out on Map Quest. Looks like you travel through Brooklyn on Flatbush Avenue as far as it goes and hang a left. Is it really all that far or is it a "less than desireable" area?

Far Rockaway is in Queens, NY; and is a very unsafe area of Queens: Years ago it was known for its beach, which at one time was beautiful, clean, safe, and well-mained.

Anyway, I would be interested in hearing a bit more about this individual, who I gather was a prospective client: What was the nature of the scam and how specifically were you scammed? Apparently, you were not paid or he does not show for what was scheduled.

In other words: What the heck happened? DETAILS please!

Kenny,

The Cliff Notes version of the story follows. The guy got me to take the subway all the way out to Far Rockaway for an "overnight." After I arrived, he wanted to have sex right away and then go out to dinner. When we stepped out for dinner, he told me to wait while he went to get his car. By this point in the interaction I knew I was being lied to, so I followed him, followed him right back to his apartment building's entrance. With the security guard twenty feet away, however, there wasn't much to be done. I ended up back on the subway, half a day stolen away, and not a penny to show for it.

One of the reasons I fell for this was that the guy gave me his real address and phone number. From this I've learned his full real name. I guess he counts on the fact that he lives in a security building with doorman to protect him from anyone who might show up unannounced. And the fact that he’s a long way from Manhattan. It's ballsy, I think, to fool with escorts that way. One of these days he's going to meet the wrong one.

Over the past few years I have learned that two escort buds of mine were suckered in the same way. I've also prevented two others from being hustled by the guy, one of whom was my roommate, another escort, who didn't speak English very well so he handed the phone to me when the guy called. It's a voice heavy with a Russian accent that I recognized immediately.

About a year after our initial encounter, Mr. Far Rockaway actually called me a 2nd time, having apparently forgotten that he'd already "done" me. I decided to have a little fun with him and told him that I’d be happy to come for an overnight. After he gave me the address and asked me to come with tight underwear—just not white—we agreed that I’d call from the train station when I arrived.

I went into my kitchen and set my timer for a little more than one hour—the length of time it takes to get to Far Rockaway. When the alarm went off, I opened my window so traffic noise was in the background and phoned the guy saying I had arrived. He said he’d walk down to meet me (it takes him about 15 minutes to walk to the train station from his building).

Sure enough, half an hour later I get a phone call. I told him that I was at the station and that he must have missed me when I stepped into the bathroom. He said he’d come right back.

Of course, 30 minutes later I got another call. This time he was mad. I was eager to see how far along I could play him, so I told him that I had accidentally gotten off the subway at the wrong stop (believable because the stops out there are like “Beach 36,” “Beach 52,” etc.) and that I was back on the train and would be at his location shortly. I apologized profusely for the mistake; this seemed to allay his suspicion. He said that he would head down to the station immediately.

I pride myself on having made this chump walk to the train station three times to meet me. It’s probably the most exercise he’s had in years. It was probably a favor. When he phoned the last time, however, I was ready for him. I knew I couldn’t fool him again. But I’ll let the readers imagine that conversation. I wasn’t nice. He threatened to kill me.

There you have the sordid story in brief. I hope folks won’t judge me too harshly for the payback I delivered. The guy promised me $1,500 for the overnight—more than my rate. This is one of the ways I’ve learned to spot the liars and con-artists who prey on escorts—they always offer you more than you are asking. It’s bait.

Any guess on what race lives in that so called "less than desirable " area?

1 guess.
