I am putting it here rather than buried in recent accommodations thread ...

Good news for “foodies” travelling solo. Many of the food stations are sponsored by high-end restaurants. It is new, right near me, and as impressive as the one in Lisbon I like. Much better than Le Marché nearby but closed years ago.

McGill Metro (green line), from inside walk to Mezzanine level or outside go to 2nd floor (one up from street level) on Robert-Bourassa (formerly University) on west side of the block just south of de Maisonneuve towards St-Catherine.

Go to the alcohol station last with your meal in hand if you want wine, for example, because you cannot remove beverages from that area.

On a side note, finally went to the very popular Thym near Campus. Excellent dinner. BYOB. It would not be terribly awkward solo there. May need reservation.
