Im sure this has happened to many.

You see an ad, call -= no answer. But immediately get a text msg to talk via text. I get you need to screen your calls.

Just wondering why alot of masseurs don't like to talk on the phone. For me I like that. I like to hear how they answer the questions I

ask etc. I want to make sure its going to be a good fit and match. To me if someone won't talk on the phone that is a RED FLAG

Well today I did just that. I called. I got a recording that the phone # is out of service.

However immediately I got a text from the person telling me to text them.

So I immediately texted back with some simple questions.

Got a reply "i'm busy"

RED FLAG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It may be partly generational. Are the masseurs millennials? Texting has replaced the phone for many.

I think that might play a role. But perhaps masseurs don't want prospective clients (who may or may not be very serious about booking) chatting them up for 15 minutes and wasting their time. Texting allows more control over how much time one spends on a given conversation, and it may lead to a call if it seems like the prospective client is serious about booking.

From an escort point of view, I don't want an inquiring client to make judgement about how masc/fem or dominate or any other variety of things when my voice is altered from my throat being swollen from deep throating cock all day. Also, at least for me, I slur words sometimes when I am dry of mouth. Also with the abundance of robo calls, it gets really annoying answering the phone. And most clients take a providers avoidance of explicit questions or answers for legal reasons more harshly and negativity over a voice call versus text. Also, maybe a provider is somewhere where they can't take calls pertaining to the subject matter like the store or the bank, or with family.

Because one can’t always be bothered with “phone interviews” for something that’s not going to last very long. You want to talk on the phone for 15 min for a massage that’s going to last all of an hour? Reference the resources available per your potential masseur. It’s always struck me as odd that American clients need so much reassurance before booking.

Speaking personally (and it may be a generational thing as someone mentioned above), I don’t need to talk to a client on the phone unless it’s a multiple hour session, overnight or weekend, as the logistics are a bit different. How enthusiastic an escort/masseur sounds on the phone or “answers your questions” isn’t always going to be reflective of his services.

And on the same token, some people interview very well and do a shitty job.

WOW what an arrogant SOB you are.

Not all ads have proper info. Some even say ask me for a price

Also for me its a good way to see if there is a fit. Sure someone can answer questions in a text. But hearing how they answer means more to me. I have found that by talking to them I feel confident in the massage.

I would think a masseur would value 5 mins (not 15 as mentioned) to make sure its a good fit and not waste each others time.

If the fee is high I damm well want to make sure it will be worth it.

Sorry you feel this is a waste of time. You are probably one them who screen.

I know this will be difficult for you but try to see things from the clients perspective. You know the ones who are PAYING you MONEY for a service !!!!!!

WOW!!!!!

Mature. Name calling because we have differing opinions is telling of the type of client you are.

But hearing how they answer means more to me. I have found that by talking to them I feel confident in the massage.
How someone answers questions to ease your anxiety doesn’t directly correlate with their massage skillset. Someone with poor phone etiquette may offer an exemplary massage. I think basing a decision solely off of this is ...silly.

Define “high.” I don’t anticipate a massage is going to run you more than $160 per current market trends.

You are probably one them who screen.

...as stated in my response I damn well do and it has saved me a ton of time. It works for me and my business structure.

I know this will be difficult for you but try to see things from the clients perspective.
It’s quite simple, actually. I work with clients daily, I’ve accrued far more perspectives from clients than your own, which you seem to think trumps all.

You know the ones who are PAYING you MONEY for a service !!!!!!
..but not my bills. Remove yourself from your pedestal and you may find that navigating hiring will be a tad bit easier.

WOW!!!!!

..my sentiments exactly.

I am phasing out answering my phone completely, just leave me a message or, even better, send me a text.

And if someone wants to talk to me, we'd better schedule via text first. Answering the phone is disruptive, you have to drop whatever you are doing, and I hate that. Text sits quietly on your phone until you can answer. Another significant benefit is that you have records of what's been said (no potential for disputes "you said this or that"), addresses link to you maps apps, so everything is just easier. Finally, if you think about it, the masseur may be sitting in a hotel lobby or restaurant when you want to get in touch. It would be awkward to talk loudly about things like naked massage, happy ending, etc. but he can usually text about these things without any problems. In fact, I once texted a masseur and was majorly annoyed when he felt like he could call me back instead of answering the fucking questions I posed in a short text. I was in a hotel lobby waiting to check in.

Of course, I'd want to talk over the phone or in person if I were to hire a personal assistant or secretary, but for one massage it's just not worth it. And if it's a repeat visit, I don't need to hear the masseur, I know him.

I don't answer the phone either as I am around other people all day. So I also prefer texting, and it's not a 'screening' thing at all. If it's that important to hear my voice, the client can ask me to call him back when I'm free, and I would do so provided he understands that this is a professional callback, not a personal one. You can't get too friendly with clients. Texting is great in that it's impersonal, and helps you keep that professional distance. I've gotten repeat voice calls like 15 minutes later from clients who want me to tell them again what I'd do to them lol. Voice calls can get a little personal, and you don't have the time to think about what to say like you do in a text message. So yeah, I prefer not to voice, unless the the client can keep it professional.

At the end of the day, it is about what the client wants....not the masseur's choice....text or phone call with the masseur is the client's choice. (unless the masseur insists on text and then will just lose the client) Because without the client, the masseur industry would not exist. If a masseur is not in a discreet place to answer questions, then they can just text the client with a time that works when they can speak openly on the phone. If both masseur and client find texting is the best fit for them, then great! But if a client wants a quick phone call, then a masseur that wants his business should oblige him. I have found that what you can accomplish in a 3 minute phone call with questions/answers can take 10 texts back and forth over 10 minutes.

You’re mistaken. It is up to the masseur whether the follow up to an inquiry is call or text. For every fussy client that insist on a phone call to book, there are five clients who don’t really give a shit because they simply want a massage. Clients who think one’s business is suffering because a masseur or escort does not conform to his way of hiring is entitled, mistaken, and without a massage. Sexual frustration is a bitch.
