Burner Phones

I downloaded Burner App last week and I tried using the number given for phone verification by both Craigslist and Doublelist and it was rejected. As was my Google Voice number. So before buying a burner phone I'm curious if users of these phones have used them for phone verification for these or other sites. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I've had the Burner app for a couple of years but have never used the number for any type of verification. I only use the Burner number for texting and for receiving phone calls from escorts - and I've had no problems. You could send a text/email question to the Burner Support Team - they've always gotten back to me within 24 hours. I bet they would have an answer or a work-around fto solve he problem.

 

I just did a Google search for my current Burner number and it revealed that the number is an "assigned number" from "Bandwidth.com" which, according to Wikipedia, provides "virtual phone numbers" for Google Voice and, apparently, for the Burner app. I'm guessing that these online sites (like Craigslist) are able to recognize that these are "virtual phone numbers" and rejects them for verification purposes.

Thanks for the responses. Tried TextNow but it does not work as Doublelist will not accept it.
