I just got a dvd of some of the old "W.K.R.P." shows, and I am enjoying them. I looked up Gary Sandy who played "Travis", and there is a nice official website, but it has not been updated in several years. Does anyone know anything recent about Gary?

Thanks.

A few years ago Gary Sandy toured with Ann-Margaret in "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas." Two dancers and the stage manager said Sandy was not gay. And there are no secrets backstage.

Sandy reminds me of Ted Shakleford from "Knot's Landing." He couldn't act for beans but looked hot with his shirt off. He's somehow connected with a (straight) singles bar in the East Village. Is he straight/gay/boring? Any 411? Apparently, he's "retired" from acting, his pecs having built up a nice annuity.

As long as I'm free associating (and why not?) what's the 411 on Matt Cavanaugh of "Grey Gardens" and late of the B'way "Urban Cowboy"? He told the Advocate he's staight, but I'm skeptical. Check him out at http://www.broadway.com doing a backstage tour-- he looks hot in a white terry robe. There's more than a flourish in his hand movement. And when he says, "Who do I have to fuck to appear at the Kennedy Center," he just about, shall we say, blows it.

Lanky,

I give up. Where on the http://www.broadway.com site is this tour?

RON -- On the broadway.com home page, go to "Video Features," bottom right corner and click on "Show All." That will take you to a page which, at the bottom, as it were, links to the Cavanaugh interview. BTW: if you Google his name, you'll find some sites with nice beefcake shots of Mr. C.

Greathands,

Thanks for the guidance. Loved the clip. Have to say when he said "au naturel" I became suspicious as to how straight he is. Of course this could be just wishful thinking. Anyway, he can sit on my face anytime. :p :P :p

He was cute! His "official" website (http://www.garysandy.com/) doesn't say a word about what he's up to today. The last entry on the "biography" section stops at 2001!?!?!

Gary Sandy stared in a spectacular new multi-million dollar production of the Broadway musical-comedy smash The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. The show launched a coast to coast tour February 13, 2001

Well if all the very hot in tight jeans when on WKRP in Cinncinati Mr. Sandy did is stare, it is no wonder his career has been slow since.
