I'm sure you have all heard about the tragic murder of Kelsey Smith, a young girl who was abducted in the parking lot of a shopping mall. She went missing last Saturday.

Her body was found Wednesday afternoon.

Yesterday (Thursday) I was watching Larry King Live. I could not believe that he was interviewing the girl's mother and father as well as her boyfriend of seven months.

Then one hour later, there was Nancy Grace, interviewing them as well.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?

How could this family, go on TV only 24 HOURS after her murder had been discovered and give interviews?

And how could King & Grace be so callus as to conduct them?

I personally find it outrageous. Am I wrong? Is there something I'm not getting here? What has become of the privacy of grief? Have we become a nation of ghouls?

I agree. I don't get it at all (except the King & Grace part - "Anything for ratings" explains that. Nancy Grace's antics are responsible for driving at least one innocent person to suicide, IMO). Definitely could not manage it myself.

I can't imagine why the parents/boyfriend would go on these shows.

As for both Larry King and Nancy Grace, I never watch them so it doesn't matter to me. Larry King's interviews are like a telemarketing show for whoever he has on. He never asks any "hard" questions, so it's mainly just a promo for the guest. As for Nancy Grace, she's the quintessential bitch who seldom gets her facts right, not that the facts would deter her.

We only get what we ask for. If the general public drives ratings up for stuff like this, then that's what will appear. Larry used to be great, but his format has changed the last three or four years and now he has gone Hollywood. Nancy, obviously, hams up her indignation purely for entertainment. I'm sure she's not an idiot, but it's all about ratings. CNN has dumbed itself down and there's only one reason.

As for the parents of the murdered girl, they certainly could've chosen not to appear. Maybe this was their way of working thru the grief.

Jeez, I used to look forward to seeing who was going to be on Larry King. No more.

I agree - she is without a doubt the most odious cunt ever!

She claims that her fiance was murdered - my personal take on that is that he probably arranged for his own murder as it was a better alternative than going through with the marriage to her.

I do watch a part of her show from time to time strictly for the entertainment value. One day she will implode live on camera - don't want to miss that. And as for Glen Beck........ The only reason to watch CNN is to see Anderson Cooper and his sidekick weatherman Rob Marciano. What pair of lovers they would make.
