The prospect that a D.C. madam will reveal the names of her some-15,000 clients has Washington D.C. politicos in a frenzy as many are worried that their names will be on the list. Brian Ross of ABC, who sparked the Mark Foley revelations, holds the keys and his phone is ringing off the hook. Already a former AIDS czar who was anti-prostitution in his official life has had to resign. (See more at http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/04/28/AR2007042801192.html)

But what if such a scandal should hit Hooville? Would Daddy have to resign if he was found to have hired hookers? Would deej then take over the site? Or is it just silly to think that hiring hookers should have any relevance to your job? Hypocrisy yes, but otherwise is America ever going to wise up that hooker--hiring is an American pastime?

Lucky, surely someone as politically savvy as you knows that these scandals know no gender or sexual preference. }( Or, perhaps you're just phrasing your post artfully so it doesn't disappear into that vast wasteland known as War, Politics, ... ;-) I certainly wouldn't accuse you of trying to make mischief here.

What makes this scandal delicious are the same ingredients as the Jeff Gannon scandal, the Ted Haggard scandal, etc., i.e., HUGE hypocrisy and a double standard unveiled by those self-righteous assholes who claim the moral high ground and the right to tell all of us how to live our lives.

What could be a better example than the State Department official whose job it was to promote abstinence and eliminate prostitution, while he was cheating on his wife? }( }( Oops, I forgot - he was just getting a massage, which he now gets from "Central American Gals." :9

I think America wised up years ago. In fact, I am not sure that America wasn't always wise. I just think America has always been dumb on the subject. :+

IT has always been the 800 lb gorilla in the room.

There was a delicious rumor a while back that a certain politician in Texas (not a Bush) had trouble being considered for jobs by his own party. Seems he may not have had enough imagination, as he had kept the same mistress for more than a decade.

Oh, those sexy Republicans.

There was a time at the Town House in NYC when the Pres was in town and the secret service and staff were off duty.... Hunky suit and tie white boys!
