“Good” weeks and “Bad” weeks...

What does it mean for you? And I’m not just talking about business/clients...but just in general. Friendships. Sex. Mood. Clients.

 

I’m probably talking from a place of boredom considering I’m not in travel mode right now. And I know I have to do something more long term about my Kansas City situation which is not working for me at all. But the “bad” weeks just seem to come out of nowhere.

 

An example of a good week for me (something I had for like 3 weeks in a row recently) is meeting someone new outside of work (or for a second or third time), having an enjoyable time together-perhaps a date and sex. Sweeten the deal by having a few clients in that week.

 

A bad week tends to be one where outside of work, the guys who were available suddenly aren’t, and trying to find anyone new isn’t working. That’s not speaking clients, but personally. But with clients, one is out of town, then 2 cancel, and the other 2 you can’t catch because the logistics don’t work.

 

I try not to put too much reasoning to these things, but sometimes it does feel like there’s nothing I can do about it when it does happen...except ride it out and wait for the next week. Which 99% of the time usually means LEAVING the city that’s causing the results. There are times when I find myself going thru hell in a particular area, and when I leave that area to go elsewhere, things immediately improve. What ya think?

As a client, a bad week is when I have used up my discretionary income to hire an escort I really like. That means I usually have 3 bad weeks out of 4 in a month. So those escorts who suffer a dry patch, perhaps the good times were lumped together in "good" weeks. I bet "good" weeks for both client and escorts are in the first part of a month when budgets are looser.

As for hiring, I can only afford to hire 2 times a year. I wish it was more though.

That’s a good point. I struggle with some morning depression, though I’ve not been diagnosed per say. I sleep well at night, but mornings are rough. I find sleeping next to someone to help, but I’ve gotten to where I just don’t enjoy morning sex anymore.

 

Matter of fact, it’s not that I don’t like morning sex, but I don’t know how some of these guys my age stay up having sex into 3 and 4 am, and then want it again in the morning. I can’t. I be half dead until about 10:30 am.

 

I can do overnight sessions, but I always try to make it clear that I’m not going to feel sexual at 6, 7, 8 or 9 in the morning. 10 is the absolute earliest, but unless someone wants to come to my hotel before checkout, I don’t even see clients anymore before about noon.

I just don’t think people understand sometimes how hard it is to be a single, GBM, who’s not already connected to a scene or community. And it’s crazy how many clients I’ve come across who are living a straight lifestyle. It makes me “feel” that there’s more guys open to another man out there than I realize, but the fact is...that’s not how it’s happening in day to day life.

Exactly, you might get lucky as you just did but "canvassing" (running an ad for months collecting numbers) pays off sooner or later.

If someone is saying they made $4,000 in 4 days, even with an overnight, that’s a lot of “activity”. That would also equate to 4 clients a day, for 4 days straight, at $250 each. It just doesn’t sound realistic.

 

I can say there’s been cities I’ve gone to and had atleast 1 visit every day over the course of a week’s visit (Denver was one of them, before the market went to shit...it would never happen now), but even that’s not $4,000 worth of clients.

 

Perhaps “they” made $4G doing other things, but I can’t imagine it would be all from appointments UNLESS they happened to have the right ducks in a row to pull 2 or 3 overnights. But still...that’s a lot of work.

Sometimes it’s not even good trip or bad trip. Sometimes its a factor of people not being able to make shit work.

 

In the last 24 hours, I’ve had 3 cancellations and looks like 1 more is about to fall thru too. Only 1 appointment so far, which I caught last minute to make up for the first 2.

 

It’s like if you can’t meet a client in exactly the time window they have available, all bets are off. Even though I’m arriving with the whole evening available in one of my locations, its appaarently still going to be too late for a couple of people because they want to meet before 5 but I don’t get in until after 5.

 

Then, the other day’s cancelled reasons included “fell asleep waiting for my kids to go to sleep”, and “came into the office and it was a shitstorm”, so cant make today work.

 

It makes me think once again of changing how I travel. The money can be lucrative, but every now and again there’s a client or 2 who has to cancel because they have other stuff going on.

 

There’s a part of this business that’s just not reliable enough to make plans for anything outside of “now” and “today”. And when traveling, I hate when the first client of the trip has to cancel, because that’s the jump off. People want to meet when it’s convenient for them, but in reality they need to meet when it’s convenient for the provider too, otherwise it’s not going to work.

 

Comparing sex to pizza, you can’t just have a craving for pizza at any time and expect to get it. You may want pizza at 10 am. Or 2 am. But you still have to go by their available hours.
