Why I won't review

I have not reviewed often in my many years on this site; generally, I have only tried when it was to warn y'all about the dishonest, the unkempt, and the appalling. But now I am done with even that. Why?

1. Most recently, I tried to post a review about an unsatisfactory meeting where the guy who showed up wasn't the guy in the pics and didn't deliver. The guy advertises on Adam4Adam; turns out that the folks who run the (completely unconnected to this site) website for escort reviews do not want to bother registering (for free) with A4A, so they won't post my review. A4A has dozens of pros advertising in NY alone, but....

2. A few weeks ago, a different provider whom I engaged for an outcall gave me constant updates on his journey to me ("on my way!" "should be there in five...") and then never showed up. The folks who run the (completely unconnected to this site) website for escort reviews do not allow a review when the meeting didn't take place, so that little bastard got away with it despite my being able to produce lengthy text exchanges showing what happened.

3. Before that, I submitted a negative review on a different provider only to have it rejected because the provider had deleted his ad; he then recommenced advertising shortly thereafter and still advertises with no negative review connected to his id. attached.

I know that the good people who run the review site don't get paid, so I am not going to criticize them. But until some of the "rules" are reexamined, it is not worth my time or effort to be an active participant here.

I am confused by why #1 would matter. You don't actually even need to log-in or have an account on Adam4Adam to see pro profiles (or actually anyone's profiles). For example, this is one of my favorite massage therapists in Denver: NorseTouch. Shouldn't the link to that be sufficient? Chatroom is even offered as one of the options for where you found the professional.

I agree. I was and still am dumbfounded but Daddy was adamant that the review could not be posted unless I could find some other ad by the same provider. Makes no sense at all.

Well, you started a post here to criticize the owner of the site... His sandbox, his rules.

A lot of what you're describing is clearly in the review submission FAQ. Black and white. If this prevents you from participating, that's your choice, but don't blame management for things that are pretty straight forward from the get-go.

Gee, Ben, I thought that this was a place to have thoughtful discussions on these topics. That is what keeps this site alive and lively. Is that okay with you? Or does blind allegiance to Dear Leader require no dissent or other opinions under any circumstances?

the above sentence is very close to the standard defense, seen for years here, of rebuffed posters unhappy with this forum when they post a rejected "thought".......

there are ways to post "reviews" (in the forum) that pass the rules and still allow you to make your point.......you've been here since 2005, tenderloin.....you probably already know those ways

No, my friend. I try to follow rules, including those that say "don't post reviews in the message center." What is frustrating is that there remains no logical explanation for seemingly arbitrary rules. To the extent we are a community, these things can be discussed.
