Do you spend Valentines Day with your SO (if you have one) or someone special? [i.e. someone who is not paying you]

If you work on Valentines Day - Do you get more, fewer, or about the same number of inquiries as on a typical day?

I ask because most years VD (ha ha!) usually comes and goes without me even noticing and I saw only one very brief thread on the subject when I logged in today.

Yes i did with #1 of 3 years and no I didn't make a deal of it. He has a wife and a girlfriend and another sugar daddy so romance and sex get spread around too much for it to be sentimental. But the sex is the world's best. I did get him a fresh bottle of poppers if that counts as a Valentine gift.

It's the thought that counts.

I find the days leading up to Valentines are in demand, however most years I find the actual day of is a time to spend with friends.

I think many people get weird on Valentine’s week. Sappy holidays usually churn up vibes either of certain expectations or completely shutting off.

The days around Christmas we’re horrendous for me in Kansas City, string of time wasters. Naturally, I was a bit gun shy about Valentines. But most of the idiots stayed at bay up until the weekend ??‍♂️

I hate to be the Grinch who Stole Vday but I’ve never really celebrated Valentine’s Day or understand the concept of celebrating something that’s readily available every day?

Like most holidays, you have to go beyond its current “capitalist” meaning, and go back to its original “Pagan” meanings. Then from there decide if it’s something you wish to abstain from, or celebrate it in a way that suits you. Here’s an example (not my example, just generic) of what someone who’s not into the holidays would and wouldn’t celebrate:
